Pre-SVP trip to the NHM in London! The marine reptile wall is what I live for.

Abstract accepted for #SVP2025 - #2025SVP! I'm excited to head across the pond to Birmingham to give my talk and get caught up with all the latest research.

I'm hoping for a higher than usual representation of marine reptile research 👀

It's #FossilFriday! When studying marine vertebrates you often get the perk of finding invertebrates too! These ammonites from the Choristoceras genus, found near a Late Triassic ichthyosaur, are not the prettiest. However, they are important biostratigraphic indicators for the end of the Triassic!

No fossil post from me this #FossilFriday. But, I did pass my dissertation proposal defense! Pop that bubbly!

Let's get ichy for this #FossilFriday! I'm sharing the early #Triassic ichthyosaur Gulosaurus helmi from British Columbia.

Gulosaurus, along with its fellow Royal Tyrrell specimen Parvinatator, are some of the best early ichthyosaurs from North America!

They are found as talus in glacial cirques.

Hi Bluesky! Since I have reached a shade over 100 followers I wanted to introduce myself. I am a PhD student at Idaho State University currently studying the origins and evolution of ichthyosaurs and sauropterygians. I did my master's degree on the giant ichthyosaurs of the Late Triassic in Nevada.
