(It's been a great year, artwise. I see so much I can improve, but I'm also happy and thankful about how far I've been able to get. Details in alt text)

I shove all four pictures into one photo, sacrificing quality in order to dodge the landscape cropping. Three oil paintings and an iPad rest on a fuzzy green blanket.
My first painting this year is really just an underpainting, but I think it stands up as a sketch. It is an 8x10 of Bengal cats Duke and Riot snuggling. I had many favorite paintings this year, so there are other contenders, but I picked an 8x8 of a lion (character is obithelion) with an open mouth as my favorite. I was proud of what I was able to achieve and that I was able to get my extensive plans to work out on my own without any guidance or demos to follow. The one that got the most engagement was my second procreate drawing, a sketch painting of Nanaki / RedXIII from FFVII with a hard round brush. It has been fun learning some Procreate and I'm looking forward to doing more with it. I think you aren't allowed to share ナナキ fanart without being spotted and reposted by spectacledlion, so this was naturally the one seen by the most people. My latest painting has also been the one that has taken the longest; a 9x12 portrait of a walking Bengal tigeress. I'm hoping to finish one or two more by Monday.
These pictures represent about 40 hours of sketching and painting.
