How about this, government fact sheet today:

"Hit by a cyclist", so should be "hit by a driver" (or "hit by a bike").

Maddening.

Here's an article that might lower the blood pressure for a minute

Our community borrowed millions to build wind turbines – but it’s paid off, big time
Next month is a milestone for North Yell. On 14 July the first house purchased by the local development trust will be let, and its new tenant will move in.

Certificates won't help, would be expensive, and would never be a good use of police time to check.

Real solutions: 1) Deal with zero hour contracts, 2) prevent importing of unsafe batteries.

If those are too difficult to tackle, then the problem isn't really big enough to worry about

True, but they are up against supermarkets who do have subsidised parking. We should limit the out of town developments too and price them appropriately

Someone arguing on Facebook that there are no children in Hackney now (schools closing), so we can't use air quality for kids as a justification for LTNs.

That's the level of debate.

That and 15 minute cities conspiracies, obviously.

True, but it's only happened in the last 3-4 years, and is the easiest to replicate. UK has more wind, nuclear, and removed coal, which NL and Germany still use, so UK CO2 for electricity is far lower than both

And these are in the 100 hr range, maybe less. www.rheenergise.com

Both have pilot plants in progress so hopefully they are successful

Obviously it's better to use a tap / fountain. But if bottled water has to exist, this may be an improvement? Not sure of the amount of land required to grow the sugarcane, or the carbon involved in shipping it to the UK.

I have no idea about the technicalities. But the Dutch obviously have 2 mandated colours for tarmac. Don't know why we don't do the same. A bit more difficult to maintain I guess esp when utilities dig it up. But again, the Dutch manage it

I will die on this hill... Make all bike infrastructure red asphalt (or green or blue... just pick a colour and stick to it)!

Then parallel crossings could be a red zebra next to a normal zebra and nobody would have any doubt whatsoever.

It's very useful, thanks Alan. Would be a good addition if BlueSky allowed us to unblock people manually, but the block list is a great feature.
