I also enjoyed this Morse adaptation. Neil Pearson and Lee Inglby make a good Morse and Lewis. I had a slight quibble with the McGuffin but it's still enjoyable www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
Drama on 4 - Morse - In the Shallows - BBC Sounds
An Oxford don dead in the river, a student out of his depth. Morse is on the case.

I can recommend that episode of Simon Armitage's shed podcast with Rebecca Lucy Taylor. Interesting to see how her background informs her work . Plus this ongoing phenomenon of particularly female artists with stage personas. Plus she's an engaging person as always.

Oh and you can never have enough #HHGTTG further proof that The Guide is a never finished narrative and that each retelling is the "original version" while being part of the collective.
🪐NEW EPISODE🪐
As a new immersive theatre version of The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy opens, its creator @arvd.bsky.social & @nndroid.bsky.social discuss how Douglas Adams’ books nearly explain the world we live in today ➡️ linktr.ee/bunker_pod

The main issue of #enshittification is of course that it provides new opportunities for grammar Nazis.

(or as I prefer, grammar Nazi's)
Stop getting "Enshittification" wrong!

I know loads of discourse on social media is around that malign effect of seven tech companies but this was a handy update on some of their deeper horrors and crimes.
“Enshittification” is the word of the moment. It’s the reason Google is all ads and Amazon serves you crappy overpriced products. Cory Doctorow, who coined the term, joins @nndroid.bsky.social and @rafaelbehr.bsky.social to discuss how we can combat it ➡️ linktr.ee/ohgodwhatnowpod

Bit perplexed by these yesterday as I wasn't sure where and how you'd use them . I know some folk recreate Santa's snowy footprints in the hearth etc but the Reindeer stay on the roof surely ! I mean if you don't believe in realism at Xmas when do you !

Yep no post war optimism for any of the main characters, apart from Sergeant Paine maybe, who will probably demob to a steady quiet life. The little kid will always be a grass obv.

I got sherry just a few hours ago ! Like all the great drinks there's a style for everyone !
Just wanna say to all of you wine people constantly saying that sherry is a "hard sell"...just stop please. I get total converts everytime I meet people and do a sherry & tapas tasting...they are sold! They want to go home and buy sherry. They even want to do a home sherry party, just to show off.🥂
Say hola to our newest sherry converts: Linda and Darren from Manchester 🥂 Another fun and delicious #SherryTapasTasting at Casa Morales #sevilla #sherry #sherrylovers #sherryclass #azaharsherry #spain

The young 'un seems to be giving a deposition in a Arizona Police station unless his mum's got the weirdest spare bedroom
Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

I do love these later tree paintings they have such a sense of place , you can almost smell that damp lichen that grows on sycamores , the distant traffic, feel of the soil on the side of the road
Painting by David Hockney ‘Late November Tunnel’ 2006.
Oil on two canvases. Dimensions: 48" x 72" inches overall.
