We have built a world that only works for people at the center of the curve and pathologizes everyone else.

Gameboy Color not on your list but Mr Driller on the GBC is a great pick up and play game.

(I'd recommend the Japanese cart/ROM as it supports score saving unlike the other versions.)

Do you remember when Susan Hall lost her wallet (and later had it returned still with the cash in it)?!

I double checked. It was in fact Susan Hall, the tory mayoral candidate, putting the blame on Sadiq Kahn for the theft of her wallet.

Which she actually lost. And it was found and returned. With all the cash still in it.

'She dropped it': Good Samaritan who returned Susan Hall's 'stolen' wallet reveals he found it between Tube seats | LBC
A good Samaritan who returned Susan Hall's wallet said he thought she dropped it, rather than it being stolen, as the Conservative London mayoral candidate had claimed.

Shocking!

Reminds me of that woman a few years back who was doing all the right wing media rounds complaining about the theft of her purse in London.

In actual fact, she'd lost it, and some kind person handed it back in and it was returned to her.

Indeed.

The response from the right is so tiring. They suggest he means drugs will be available to all, any age, any time.

Duloxatine (to give a random example) is legal. Can anyone buy it anywhere? Of course not - you need a prescription.

Love the art style.

It's great fun and it works beautifully on my Steam Deck. (Although I can't see an obvious way to quit the game when I'm done!)

Remind me again what people think Trump Derangement Syndrome means.

Because I think it's this.

Replace Bannon with a Russian asset and there would be significantly more outrage. The fact he's an American shouldn't make a difference, but here we are.

Well said @mrjamesob.bsky.social

People need to stop idolising wealth and equating it with qualities such as intelligence, hard work and entrepreneurial instinct.

Plenty of people with those qualities are not wealthy.

The biggest predictor in being wealthy is, you guessed it, being born wealthy.

Looked at your other games and didn't realise you make Bloodshed - a game I already own!

Love it!

Do Octopus provide the survey for free? Will the outcome be an installation price and ongoing cost prediction (or would they come back and do that another time once the survey determines it's feasible)?
February 12, 2026 at 12:19 PM
Yes. We will end up back where we started.

But we won't have any control over it, won't be able to record it, and won't be able to partake without every habit being tracked and feeding the advertising beast.

Polly is completely misrepresenting what Zack is saying. He is not saying we would rejoin tomorrow, he explicitly said a first step would be a customs union.

This is still one of my favourite ways to play a 2D Mario game. Super Mario All-Stars on a CRT TV.

Ah, the good old conservative value of telling private companies how they should treat their employees.

And I'm certain he wouldn't say such a thing without evidence to back it up: "People aren’t more productive working from home – it’s a load of nonsense".

🙄

Well, I certainly don't feel forced into Snap by Ubuntu - I use a combination of Ubuntu repos, Snap and Flatpak.

I went with Snap as that's what's linked directly from the Vivaldi website. And it has worked flawlessly until now.

That said, I agree it's worth trying out the .deb Vivaldi supply.

Seems like a solid foundation for far reaching economic and trade decisions.
