A few years ago I had to listen to a Polish taxi driver complaining bitterly about all the Muslims in this country - I stopped the conversation by telling him that I’d heard exactly the same about Polish immigrants in the 00’s. He was silent for the rest of the journey ..

Mars Attacks is probably my favourite - the subject matter managed to keep his personal aesthetic at bay and as a result it looks sharper / less overdone than most of his stuff - the aliens looked amazing 👀❤️

Looks good - but, really, just what I expected . Oscar Issac bad casting - too softly spoken.. dialogue in general was a bit hard to hear .. Monster was too attractive - I had some issues about his super powers - it was far too long - some scenes were interminable.. it just felt like it dragged..

I just watched it two hours ago - they filmed in both Edinburgh and Glasgow .. (I live in Glasgow) so we were looking forward to it because it happened here.. but … no matter how much I tried .. it felt underwhelming..

It’s too long and laboured - couldn’t wait for it to end 😩 Also, was like a weak attempt at Coppola’s Dracula 🤷♀️ and TBH Frankenstein ( whilst an interesting concept) isn’t really that much of a story….. 🥱
