Following up every cute animal pic with "where's his iconic gold chain" now

I think Nintendo views the big draw to the initial console launch as "Finally a home console that can play other modern games AND our exclusives" Cause the third party lineup was mostly bangers like street fighter, the library is much better with air riders and prime 4 out now

Like the best builds in the game for a while at launch were built around a purple knife!!!

Big issue I had with 3 was that if you didn't have a legendary class mod or legendary in every slot it felt like ass to play, 4 eventually does tilt you in the direction of mostly legendaries equipped but there's actual interesting power distributed to purples in that game

The class mods in 4 are especially a big reason that farming can be fun cause you'll just randomly get a new purple class mod that opens up a new build or empowers your current one

Gear feels like a chore in destiny, a chore that rotates in and out monthly. Warframe is filled with relevant detritus. If I want to target farm a gun in borderlands 4 I can get it in like a few hours and enjoy the process too even when it gets mindless cause I'm always getting neat class mods etc

no like unironically the games being complete experiences on their own alongside like unlimited rewards access (*cough* minus the weird destiny adjacent systems in 4 *cough*) you actually have a reason to play and enjoy and it's great
