TTRPG and Video games designer. Previously: QA. Lost in the pages of books and manga, always gazing at brush strokes and frames of animation, all while soft melodic jazz plays in the background. Addicted to Deadlock. he/him
Maybe this is the point of my life where I realize "hey, I have completely developed my tastes - if it doesn't fit in the graph, then I don't care". That may sound a bit too harsh, but it does FEEL like this is the main problem. Working in games also means you get most of the "magic" spoiled for ya.

*sigh* For the first time ever I might just not be that excited about any games in the foreseable future. And that kinda creeps me out. I've always been excited about every medium's upcoming releases. I love how creative folks still are and what they put out into the world.

Legends of Runterra's another outlier. I love so many of the choices they made with that game, and having another roguelike deckbuilder that I can tinker and buildcraft with is always appreciated.

The only outlier here is Deadlock. I should've known that Valve's game would consume just like TF2 and DOTA2, but I think this one hit different because I've worked on several similar ideas. Not the dotalike aspects, as much as the urban fantasy New York, and some other smaller design decisions.

Now, that's not entirely true. I sunk an ungodly amount of hour sinto Megabonk, Slots and Daggers, BallxPit, and several others. And I will probably play a lot of ROUTINE when it finally comes out (more than 13 years, damn). But despite all these games being very good, none of them really grabed me.

The only hopeful news in a long long time. And the craziest part is that this is just the first step towards something better. The fight has just begun.

What a time to be alive 😵‍💫

Amazing work as always! I was wondering what tools do you primarily use in your graphics work?
