When I lived in Dublin they called this a "liquid dinner".

I think so! We'd start by stacking them as a tower on the center of the mat, then threw bigger pogs (slammers?) to flip them, and you got to keep the ones you flipped.
There were several rules variants, I think they were created by the players as new pog types with gimmicks were introduced.

Interesting! When we had the equivalent of Pogs in Portugal (Tazos) we had these neoprene disks where we stacked them for the setup, but the diameter was closer to a CD size.

The main thing for me were the controls. They really made my hands hurt, had to take 10 day breaks at times. And there is no way to rebind them.
The only other game that did this to me was Samus Returns, by the same team.
The game doesn't let you explore. It closes doors behind you.

Both! Exploding Kittens has several versions that allow for different player counts.

It's very easy to teach, goes right to the heart of "push your luck" games and the simultaneous play means nobody has to wait for their turn.

It's also been published as Incan Gold.

It's closer to Deep Sea Adventure. The players are exploring a temple. When they find treasure they split it evenly and leave the rest behind. But as hazards come up, they might die and lose it all.
Every turn they simultaneously choose if they want to keep going or leave, taking the leftovers.

They don't need to be very detailed, either. I write a few notes on what I liked about it, what stood out, sometimes what could have been done better.
Those are useful as well when you're checking them later.

Yeah, if I saw the same image as a silhouette I wouldn't immediately identify it as a dog.

It sounds cool, right?
I have only heard of it but it sounds like there's a lot of room for playful moves, trying to go after pieces the others need so you push them away but you might also need them later...!
