Yeah that happens to everyone who looks at their own profiles. If you look at someone else’s, bsky doesn’t condense them. I’ve seen people rocking with 20+ labels. Here’s mine for instance

What are labels for, anyway?
Labels are essentially account tags, providing often useful information. Each and every labeler must be subscribed to manually, before you can see said labels associated.

1. Subscribe to the labeller.

2. Make a new post (not a reply to a post), with the following sentence:
@gameengines.bsky.social
I would like LABEL please! (Where LABEL is your desired labels, from Labels list)

3. Wait appropriately. As this is a manual process, it’ll take time to apply labels.

Done! Labels were a lil weird to me too, but basically every service you subscribe to (like this) will allow you to see labels applied onto accounts across Bluesky. As you can see here on my profile (screenshot below).
