Guy who plays too many GBA games, wants to write a book about a cat girl, and gets far too invested into professional wrestling.

Yo, I'm Mitch! I'm a writer who spends too much time playing and writing about video games, and I'm best known for running the Game Boy Abyss, a website where I'm trying to play and review as many Game Boy Advance games as possible! Check it out!

With my recent addiction to Xbox 360 games, Dead Rising was at the top of the list for titles I missed. And, despite some pretty notable issues, this is a game whosestructure was made to me, almost like an open-ended Musou game. Full review below!

Linda³ is a pretty obscure monster collecting RPG from the PC-Engine with an enhanced release on the PS1 and Saturn that's sort of a bonkers sci-fi Noah's Arc story but also features some of the coolest art by Japanese artist Cannabis, who was an animator on Akira

This week on the Game Boy Abyss...

It's surprising there aren't more visual novels on the GBA. Of the few I've tackled on the system, Chobits is likely the best one, even despite it's more obtuse elements. Besides - Chi is cute enough to heal the pain.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss...

Dexter's Laboratory: Deesaster Strikes presents a fairly large scale collectahon for such an early game in the GBA's life cycle, but do first impressions hold through this fairly rigid, formulaic adventure?

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, I take a look at Dr. Sudoku! Beyond some quibbles with the GBA's lack of sleep mode abilities, Dr. Sudoku, if you're somehow trapped in the early 2000s, is probably the best way you can engage with digital sudoku.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, we take a look at one of the most technically advanced titles on the GBA that isn't just a funny name! Big Mutha Truckers might surprise, but it suffers from far too much tedium and foundational issues to stick with.

Call of Duty 3, as the first 'true', non-spinoff title for the PS2 era, blends the fantastic atmosphere of Finest Hour with the solid gunplay of Big Red One. It's certainly not perfect, but it's far and away the best Call of Duty of this era.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss: 20 years on, we've been given a whole new GBA title! Shantae: Risky's Revolution is an incredibly solid Metroidvania whose explorative elements and hilarious writing overcomes its repetitive design and weak combat.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, I take a look at Care Bears: Care Quest - despite my general middling reception to minigame collections, I think with the context of this game's release, and it's place in the GBA's library... It's not that bad?

This week on the Game Boy Abyss... I've never been a fan of Ren & Stimpy, but the fact that it's creator somehow made a worse show, that somehow got an even WORSE game adaptation is almost impressive... if, again, The Ripping Friends wasn't that bad.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, a unique premise and style of gameplay can take you pretty far on the Game Boy Advance, but sadly, you do need some complexity and depth behind the facade to bring it together. This week, it's Sea Trader: Rise of Taipan!

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, I take a look at The Mummy, an adaptation of the cartoon spin-off of one of the most beloved films of the last few decades. Just a shame it almost bored me to tears, despite it's genuine beauty. Take a look below!

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, my 90th review is on Spyro: Season of Ice! Much like the GBA Crash Bandicoot games, Season of Ice has some issues, but inherently remains a wonderful follow-up to the iconic PS1 trilogy. Full review below!

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, I take a look at just how bad some of the games of the most popular franchises ever can really be. Dragon Ball Z has a bunch of pretty weak titles - but I think there are few as bad as Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu.

A lot of sad things are happening both in my mind and in my head and whilst I gotta be strong for those I love, I gotta remembers it's okay to break down sometimes

This week on the Game Boy Abyss.. Whilst last time we took a look at a fairly weak OutRun clone, Gem Smashers odd combination of pinball and BreakOut is somehow snappy and addictive enough in it's arcadeyness to make me want to come back again and again

For some reason, I've decided to go through the original PS2 trilogy of Call of Duty titles, beginning with the oft-forgotten, frequently maligned, yet utterly captivating Call of Duty: Finest Hour.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, I take a look at Corvette! Racing games are a mixed bunch on the GBA, but Corvette has the dubious honour of being a poor man's OutRun, whilst also managing to nearly put me to sleep.

This week on the Game Boy Abyss, if it had been anyone else then Vicarious Visions who'd made Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation S.O.D.A (what a mouthful!) I think I'd be having a much, much worse time then 'just fine'.
