How would you describe the ending to They Alive? Ambiguously upbeat? It works really well though. I’d love to know if Carpenter filmed any alternate endings

I know super tangential to your work, but in my little journalistic bubble, I've been trying to explain why USians are so upset by recent athlete gambling scandals (NBA & MLB). I have been wondering if it's partly bc it reveals a class dynamic in sport. No one can tolerate that athletes are proles?
