“Hmmm, I could try my best to help... But that’s not really my specialty. You’d have to go to a medical doctor for something like that.”

She held Taunie’s gaze, realizing that Taunie still hadn’t let go of her hand even after the handshake should have ended. Sonia’s face somehow grew even redder, if that was possible, her heart thudding in her ears.

Feeling Taunie’s soft hands in hers was unexpectedly comforting. Sonia smiled, her voice gentle as she replied.

“Well, that’s really sweet of you! You’re the best!”

But before she could say more, a drop of water landed on her head. She paused, looking up. The beautiful attack seemed to have created a storm above them, dark clouds now swirling, ready to crash down with heavy rain.

“You really did it! You solved the problem!” Sonia exclaimed, excitement bubbling in her voice.

“You’re truly something else, Peeks.” She added as the move neared him, glancing at the other Pokémon in the evolution line and their trainers. The tension that had filled the air moments ago had completely vanished.

“You guys are amazing!” She cheered, with a bright smile on her face as she watched the dazzling display.

Sonia looked amazed at the attack all the Pokémon unleashed together. It was incredible, more than incredible, that so many different pokemon of the Pikachu evolution line, could share a move like that.

Peeks’s action clicked in her mind immediately, and Sonia straightened up. Gathering her courage, she waved her arms to draw attention and called out loudly so everyone nearby could hear:

"Everyone, look! These Pokémon from the Pikachu evolution line are about to show us something amazing!"

Still flustered, she turned her attention to the Pokémon, watching the members of the Pikachu evolution line interact. She leaned in slightly, curious to catch what they were saying to one another.

Feeling the quick peck on her cheek, and the sudden 'Doll' that came with it, Sonia felt her face go completely red. The warmth spread so fast she barely had time to react, stunned by the unexpected affection.

"Maybe there’s a way to show them they should be happy to be part of the same evolution line, instead of arguing about who’s the best… Is there something all of the Pikachu line has in common?"

Sonia knew that if they showed it now, it would only create more division. So she began thinking out loud, her voice soft and thoughtful.

She looked him in the eyes, knowing that if they wanted to end this situation, there was only one path left.

Kneeling beside Peeks, she lowered her voice so the trainer wouldn’t hear her.

"I think the easiest way to handle this is if that guy loses in a battle. I’ve seen your strength, so I know you can do it. But… are you able to handle it without Ash?"

She listened to his conversation with Peeks, and it was clear there was some history between them.
