To a degree, if the artist was aware of the style they could say no, but also the price tag on a commercial job on that kind of level is hard to deny. In the end, the artist did not develop the concept, they just worked off of what was given to them by the commissioner.

And all together they reflect different aspects a Person™ has: Pepper is the logical mind, Mars is the passionate spirit, Achilles is compassion, and Peachykeen is wild imagination. Isolated each one feels off to view without others, but they work well together despite obvious clashing.
