But if you are playing a superhero MMO like City of Heroes: Homecoming, you can actually speedrun a max level character in 2 days (did that already).
Of course I don't recommend that for your first character, as you'd miss lots of content.

What helped me in the past was to try to come with a one/two-page game. Just to be able to say "Hey, I finished another thing!"
Then, refine it, put as PWYW somewhere and move on. Maybe writing another micro-game. Or an expansion to that first microgame.
Finishing is good.
