Decided to really go in and try some ink wash. It reminds me of water color but just doesn't blend as well. Much more permanent

Found a painting I made about 2 years ago I still really like. I forget exactly what the theme was, but I was researching flowers that had negative symbolisms associated with them. One of them was rejection. I can't remember the others exactly!

Sort of rushed to finish this, wasnt super happy with how it was coming out. I wanted to make a griffin sort of inspired by a harpy eagle. I find with digital painting it's really easy to get lost in wanting to make a lot of detail too early

Sharing some of what I've done recently! I started with notecards to figure out how I wanted to draw the scene/story. Then moved onto translating it to comic panels. There will be more on process in the alt text 🧙✨

An experienced mage casts a frosty spell with his catalyst- a set of 6 rings. He blows the spell out into the musty area around him and makes an icy and misty setting. Perfect for cover and a getaway for his crew. I "finalized" how I wanted the panels to be on the final run, but I am still very open to changes and different ideas. I'm always changing things up until the last minute. Here was my first test of the panels for this scene. Nothing much really changed, I wanted to emphasize the 4th panel the most, I knew that much. This is the original set of notecards depicting this scene. It's just a flow of the story, not indicative of how the panels will lay out- though I really put a lot of work in the "beat" of the story. I had a lot of ideas in between this and the final test. Originally, this character was going to have a wand. Now he has a set of rings that act as a catalyst to cast spells. Arlow, the main character hears a call from beyond a wall. Behind an illusory wall, he discovers a strange weapon... Just wanted to include a bonus page!

I made these paintings back when I was first teaching myself how to paint with watercolors 5 years ago. I experimented and just did a lot of local landscapes strictly for a few months. I'm still not that good, but I'm proud of what I accomplished then.

Always have had a fascination with pen and ink, not sure why. I love how technical it can be. It goes against everything I've worked on so far in my life and I'm here for it. I first learned it back in 2013-2014 and I didn't really pick it back up until now. Just sketching basic exercises
