Sometimes I've tried to book an alternative lower cost company and the timings didn't work. (it was a once a day at 5 in the morning and I was NOT paying the extortionate hotel rates that would be needed to make it work.)

I meant via DB so if Westbahn timings don't work , it's easy to revert back to the alternative.
