Walking around Lidl laughing at things by pointing and saying “Lidl own brand” never gets old even 48 years after the film reference and about 35 years after we started randomly fitting the “Little Old Man” joke in wherever we could. #HighAnxiety

Having taken the decorations down and de-tree’d on January 6th, how long is it acceptable to have boxes sat in the hallway because it is 3 trips to storage we can’t be bring ourselves to think about? Currently we are choosing not to notice them but on Feb 1st I think they will suddenly “appear”.

My day can be summed up by getting a text from my partner whilst standing in my GPs reception saying “your skirt is tucked into your tights at the back “ then turning around and seeing the cutest baby ever laughing at me. I had walked there and stood for quite a while before checking my phone.

I watched The Net recently which is a cheesy favourite that I haven’t seen in at least a decade . This time all I could see was that the men who are Sandra Bullock’s “friends” constantly creep on her. She has to laugh it off and apologise for not wanting to date them. So that’s ruined.

We bought some local ale and scrumpy as gifts and then forgot them on the front garden wall overnight. Our neighbour just rang the doorbell to tell us. I always think we are lucky when parcels get left on our front step but freely available booze being untouched is on a whole other level.

At a hotel in Cornwall, it is snowing for the first time this winter and the room is freezing because “the heating doesn’t come on until 4pm”. Up until now this was on track to be one of our favourite hotels ever but that’s a big wtaf.

Lots of people talking about reading or watching the Count of Monte Cristo atm which is right up there with the childcatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang amongst things that haunt with me decades later. Fantastic and traumatising.

Yesterday I spent too much time reading a bad book. Today I’m really enjoying a different book and have to stop reading to do work. Whoever is playing me in Stardew Valley right now needs to sort themselves out.

Me: “I could really do with a cup of tea” “Oh I made a cup of tea recently, I hope I didn’t let it get cold” Reaches for empty cup “I don’t remember drinking that”. One of those days where I keep being surprised that I have already drunk the cup of tea I just made. The harbinger of a cold.

Today I saw a red squirrel nutkin for the first tune in over 40 years. He even had a nut in his mouth. Thank you IOW.
