Clearly I’ve been crushing it, but I wasn’t expecting over 300 books added to the challenge!

Fun, mysterious, and perfect for reading on crisp autumn days, Locks & Keys is a quick, fun read. I loved the range in styles, from grimdark to low fantasy, and hopeless battles to sneaky thieves to a cook who’s way in over her head!

4.5 ⭐️!

The Scion Conspiracy is a strong debut featuring multiple characters entrenched in a conspiracy surrounding missing children.

If you're looking for an epic grimdark fantasy like ASOIAF or Dreams of Dust and Steel, look no further than this brutal, powerful start to an awesome series. Featuring multiple POVs spanning the Ring, you'll be sucked deep into political intrigue, gory battles, and a cultist conspiracy. 5 stars!

Filled with action and intrigue and set in a distant future on the Rings, this sequel left me with a bigger picture of life on the rings, with more mysteries to unravel in a future installment.

Fun ride with some interesting twists! I like the way Hickey sets up the futuristic version of our world and the payoff for the mysteries as Marcus Carver works to unravel them.

All power has a price.

Great sequel to The Crimson Court! Without spoiling, I really enjoyed seeing all the threads start to come together, whether it was the politics or the mysteries of the worldbuilding. There were some crazy Realm stuff that happened as well.

Overall I thought this book has good bones, plot, characters, and setting! It is multi-POV which shows us the setting from multiple angles, class divides, and privilege.

Look at this awesome cover!

Just read the prequel novella, The Amber Dame

I enjoyed its brevity while reaffirming how I see Kasia, a young woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants, including using her influence to get others to do what she wants. Very interested in seeing how that continues!

If you like political fantasy and what I'd describe as low fantasy, that is to say, fantastical elements coupled with modern tech (specifically firearms), then you'll like this book!

Fast-paced murder mystery set in futuristic Chicago with Blade Runner vibes. Hoping Murder in Retrograde takes place immediately after because that cliffhanger was kinda crazy!

This sequel to The Price of Power features the same (and new) incredible characters, gritty, bloody action, and evocative descriptions.

Cont. (TLDR: 5 star read and you should read it too)

Another one! Our Dried Voices by Greg Hickey.

It's been a long time since I've been confused for an entire book but actually enjoyed being confused.

This book is set in the future on a planet called Pearl, which has been colonized by humans, but these humans don't act quite like we do

Happy release day Ryan M Patrick!

This book is fast-paced and action packed! It has Jason Bourne vibes if Jason Bourne was a space opera. Highly recommend if you like action heroes, spy films, and futuristic space battles.

I gave it 4.5 stars!

The Crimson Fire is a high fantasy, multi-POV, intriguing story with a badass bodyguard woman, a conflicted teenage girl, a driven investigator/military man, and a sinister cultist/rebel guy.

I gave it 4.25 stars!
