More: The Owens Valley Solar Array recorded a radio burst up to 16 GHz.

Type II and 10.7cm radio emissions also occured, indicating the release of a CME (not Earth-directed).

Attached: 1 video Space Weather An impressively tall and long-lasting filament is lurking above the north-west quadrant, just a few days from facing towards Earth. Big filaments have a habit of violently breaking loose from the sun's surface and causing quite large solar storms. This one is highly unstable and could break free at any time.
