10. Arcum vs Drafna

A non-Setbound list that focuses on Artifacts & Snow

I found Drafna's Restoration and wondered which environment it could go in. I searched for other Drafna cards.. not many

But I found Arcum and other cards with his namesake, leading to the title

This one focuses on Spirit/Arcane & uses Ishi-Ishi and Akki Lavarunner to keep up the pressure

This one also sat in drafts for about a year. The main goal is to summon The Unspeakable by casting the prerequisite Mists, Depths, and Sands cards.

It uses the same SLD Hideaway land trick to keep the list limited to Kamigawa cards

This one started as sort of a decision fatigue joke, but ended up being a cornerstone of my Planebound/Setbound series

3. Knuckleblade Knockout

This one sat in drafts for a while. Knuckleblade was always the centerpiece but I put it in a shell full of land DFCs and Adventure spells. Earlier this year I went back and made it a Tarkir-block-only list and added two special rules

This one was inspired by flexMONEY’s Forgetful Farmhand list

I saw Gurzigost and tried to see if there were any shells that it could fit in. The Farmhand + Muscle Burst dynamic I thought would be interesting w/ both of Gurzigost’s abilities

First up is my oldest published list: ROOTRUNNER, a game of legendary hot potato where you try to avoid getting bonked by Ayumi

This went through many iterations and eventually inspired the Planebound/Setbound limitations I used for later lists
