3.5mhz CPU / 31250 baud * 10 bit / 10T or whatever the sum is....

Should be about 100 instructions between bytes for polling. It's close in places for sure.

Urgh. This is a few years ago now, but I've had the open reach engineer in my house with his test box saying he can see the fault and knows how to fix it, but can't without the fault being logged by bt, whilst I'm on the phone to bt who won't log a fault because their line check is showing clean.

Yay. It's fixed itself overnight. Wasn't looking forward to find out someone had crashed a car into a street cabinet or something....
