I feel like this Microsoft study is relevant. I saw excited coverage of how productive it made juniors and tch-tch for seniors for not having the same gains. So I read the paper.
On page 6 they finally tell you they're measuring by only PR *count*. They just can *not* have worked in industry.

Everyone knows that she should be spending way less on each pair of boots despite reduced comfort and durability which forces purchasing a new pair in a relatively short amount of time such that by the time the expensive boots would have worn out she has spent far more than $630 on boots. Duh.

Everyone should assume they've internalized ideas that are racist, misogynist, transphobic... that they don't recognize as such because that pre-acceptance makes it easier to skip some shame processing and just move on to doing better
Tried out another attempt to generate #AltText with an LLM. Shockingly, it performed poorly.
I threw a few images at it that are somewhat specific to social media, and have included what I'd write, the generated text, and a rating.
It missed crucial details in all 4 cases, which has been a weakness of all alt text generation platforms I've come across, though some more than others.
