Like don't even redesign anything but normalize shaming people for neglecting basic things like oil changes, brake pad replacements, etc
This would also help push those negligent types toward supporting alternatives to driving. After all if it's such a hassle for you, why not avoid having to do it?

Granted this would end up being a radically different game (and preferably one not saddled with the FUCKING KINECT) But the actual divergence points are pretty straightforward
Maybe split it into 2 campaigns, one pre un-datacide, then one post-un-datacide?
