48 years ago, today it finally happened: the magnum opus of Professor's work was published. 4 years after his death, under watchful eye of Christopher Tolkien, The Silmarillion saw the daylight.

Today I found one of the best pieces of art depicting Smaug and Bard. I was always fascinated by the Japanese art - it was always something different, more spiritual than its Western counterpart.

I went to a secondhand bookshop, as One does sometimes, for a book about Terry Pratchett. I did buy the book I wanted, but I also bought couple of books I did not anticipate. I think I got quite a bargain.
Of course these are Polish versions - now I need to get them in original.

So, we got back (couple of hours ago). Nothing bad, just blocked tear duct. Got some jabs for inflammation, and they took a swab of her eyelids to check for any bad thingies.
Green/orange eyes are a result of eye drops that turn neon green under UV light and oxygen.

First time I read this book I was 10 years old, I think. From that moment it stayed with me permanently.
