The question is - has the economic pain and government disfunction caused by having an insane president been sufficiently hung around the Rs electoral necks, that the right move is to try to reduce pain to people now? Or does it need to keep being reinforced?

I think the option is let the Rs eat the chaos coming Thanksgiving week, and see if they then panic on the results of TN-7 special on 12/2.
But it’s pretty clear the Ds aren’t taking the blame for the shutdown.

I said in January it was going to take til next July, because it was going to take midterm polling to push him out. I stand by that; we're on pace.

The Felon views compromises as defeat. If Rs compromise, that means theyve broken with the crook, and the country wins. Making a reasonable offer that gets health care restored is the right move.
