📍 Progress Towards #MineFreeTajikistan2032

Most of the estimated 6.7 million square metres of contaminated land remaining in #Tajikistan is located along the border with Afghanistan — which is why FSD #clearance teams are currently working in these areas.

In 2024, over 6,200 people were killed or injured by landmines and ERW.

🌾During a recent #clearance handover ceremony, 2.37 million sqm of land were officially handed back to communities in the Kharkiv, #Ukraine, including 12 agricultural fields and 6 household plots. This land can once again be cultivated, supporting #livelihoods and #FoodSecurity.

Last month, FSD travelled to #Sudan to meet with key actors working in humanitarian #MineAction.

Sudan is heavily contaminated, posing serious #risks to conflict-affected communities. FSD hopes to support mine action #efforts in the country in the near future.

🌿 First #Plants in the Potosí Greenhouse

A few months ago, FSD supported the community of Potosí in Armero-Guayabal, #Colombia, with the installation of a large hydroponic greenhouse for conflict #victims. Today, the first plants are already growing — and more are being sown.

Behind every successful #MineDetectionDog stands a partnership built on care & respect. The welfare of our dogs is just as important as the results they achieve. Work sessions are followed by rest, water & sometimes a snack, helping them stay focused, healthy, and stress-free.
