after that we began modelling the frog. due to more detailed topology and generally better bone placement, our frog can exhibit lots of silly emotions!

in august-september, when we began remaking the game graphics, we wanted to make the protagonist all cute and round! our main ihspiration is the Breviceps adspersus, or a common rain frog, look how cute it is!

when our game was just an entry for a local jam, we didn't focus on making the protagonist stand out. in the 5 days of the jam we wanted to hone the gameplay, so our protag was more realistic.

the wacky low-quality topology resulted in some funny glitches though

basically its a geometry shader that creates textured quads

the only thing this is missing right now is multi-object interactions and it could also use some lighting improvements tbh

also thanks to separate blendshapes for eyes and cheeks, stuff like this is possible
