Is there a reason the website says the totes cannot be shipped to US when other items can?
Hoping to get one for the holidays!

Same! First movie my parents took me to.

Where the first Wicked managed to rise above its faults, they're just more noticeable in Wicked: For Good. It's a shame, since it does mean that, in comparison, WFG feels like a letdown. Some of that is the source material, sure, but somehow the film didn't improve upon it, and that's unfortunate.

All told, I know this sounds like I hated the film, which isn't the case. I DID like it. The trouble is that there are just enough irksome things sprinkled throughout that they touch basically every scene. And that makes it hard not to nitpick, since every scene has a nit or two.

My biggest question at the end was why the decision to make the place Elphaba & Fiyero go to look like such a barren waste. It's hard not to feel like they really got the short end there. Maybe... don't show us, if that's what you've got in mind.

And while that's frustrating, it's also not the story's job to sugar coat it. Which is funny, since it's one of the only things that the show doesn't sugar coat. And I did enjoy the little bone they threw to Glinda at the end here.

As the film closes, it tries to wrap itself up in a neat little package, and, much like the musical, doesn't quite get there. That said, I don't dislike Elphaba's somewhat pragmatic decision as much as some do. She recognizes that people just probably won't come around on her.

Both leads do wonderfully on the titular For Good, and it's hard not to feel at least a little emotion when those first bars start playing. I just wish it weren't all done in this exact "cinema" shot style (mid-zoom, highly blurred background) that utterly strips any sense of place from the scene.

The two highlights, musically at least, do come in the final stretch of the film. Erivo sings the hell out of No Good Deed, even if she's so obviously floating in front of a CGI set that looks like cut content from a Doom game. (Seriously, why was this castle designed this way?)
November 24, 2025 at 10:38 PM
The film then races to the finish, never once opting to improve upon any of the clumsy moments from the stage play. Why not give Elphaba a moment to properly express her grief at the death of her sister? Why stick to the awkward presentation of the melting scene?

It's just odd to me to have a character sing lines like "kiss me too fiercely, hold me too tight," while standing entirely apart from her love interest and looking inexplicably off into the distance. While they seemingly... got there (implied), the whole thing just felt quite passionless.
November 24, 2025 at 10:38 PM
One of the oddest scenes to me was As Long As You're Mine, in which none of the chemistry or sex appeal of either of these two extremely charismatic and sexy people was on display. Perhaps in an attempt to keep a PG rating, they worked very hard to keep this from being a "sex scene," and it shows.

Nessa's office is also one of the best looking sets in the whole of the film, a high which did continue in the subsequent Wonderful, even if the vocals didn't quite match. I'm not sure if Grande was deliberately trying not to overshadow Goldblum's vocals here, but it felt that way.
