Having an horrendous pain day. Fuck low pressure & arthritis all the way off.
But my lovely Irish MSK doc is injecting my knee with steroids tomorrow, so hopefully we can enjoy Hamburg next weekend without me crying & limping. Then maybe next year I'll get a brand spanking new knee to match my hips.

Having an horrendous pain day. Fuck low pressure & arthritis all the way off.

I have picked up the keys for the bungalow! I know it's going to be just perfect for ma and pa. Lots of room for their important items and just glorious views. Once they're settled, I know they'll love it ❤️

Jesus. Agent is thick as mince. I've made it crystal clear that I need the keys in advance of the *actual* move, so I can prepare the property to make the place ready for mum & dad to move straight in with minimal disruption. She's set the agreement from that date, not asap.

When I was holding dad's hand in the hospital the other night, he said he loved the long-tailed tits on my sleeve, as they were his favourite birds. Next day (yesterday), I found this wee LTT clinging to the living room window. It flew off after a rest. I like to think it was a good omen ❤️

I've got dad home at last. He had a last unit of blood late tonight, so I stayed so I could bring him home. He's been more openly vulnerable and accepting of my care than ever in his life. I think he's finally realised that I meant it when I said I *want* to care for him and will.

I spend far too long worrying about dogs on TV shows whose fictional owners have long working hours/family crises/nights out/holidays, and they don't mention who's looking after the dog while they're out. No mention of dog walkers/sitters.
