We had a very enjoyable & well-attended 'Lids Open' piano event co-hosted by Glasgow Piano Project & ourselves in The Burrell Collection auditorium last Sunday. A wonderful selection of musicians & singers performing a diverse range of rock, pop, folk & classical.

Hats off to the contractors working today to clear snags from below the bridge that led to Polloktoun. Not an easy task especially when the chainsaw had to be used while suspended.

We have a storytelling session with Irene Russell in Pollok Park Fairy Village. There is no need to book, just come along to this free public event, but children must be accompanied by an adult. 🧚♂️

The lower weir beside the Riverside car park. This was added when Pollok House was built in the mid 1700s, probably just to create a more serene river view from the house, but it had the side benefit of providing a curling rink when the river froze over. (Thanks to Charlene for the clip)
