The fact that the same scam was sent at the same time and already got deleted is very funny

Absolutely loved the haunted vampire soirée I went to last night! Spooky season is the best season

22.) Fright Night (1985)

Such a FUN little movie. I just really enjoy this one. It'd been a few years since my last rewatch and I was grinning the whole time. Teenagers vs. monsters is always a funny trope. Although some things about a middle aged man romancing a hs hits different lol (4.5/5)

21.) The Birds (1963)

Another classic. One that def doesn't seem like horror but it builds on it. Iconic af scenes. I remember seeing birds on phone lines as a kid going "oh fuck no" lmao. (5/5)

All white, open-concept homes are overrated.

Genuinely why...

20.) House on Haunted Hill (1959)

Oldie but goodie. A rewatch but I enjoy it each time. Set so many wonderful tropes for the genre. And I always wanted to say "And we have some party favors for you in these little coffins." (4/5)

19.) Metamorphosis (2019)

Despite the visuals, it's a fairly standard possession/exorcism movie. Was hoping for a bit more. Cast was great, some decent film-making and good tension, but nothing that really makes it stand out. (3/5)

18.) [REC] (2007)

I'm a hard sell on found footage but I REALLY enjoyed this. Quick to the point, realistic characters, great build in tension mixed with action. Really excited to watch the others. (4.5/5)

17.) The Limehouse Golem (2016)

Gothic murder mystery with Bill Nighy? YES please. A very exciting cast with a series of murders that are presented in little theatrical vignettes throughout. Love the period costumes and set. Enjoyed the back and forth between suspects. All around good time. (4.5/5)

16.) Autopsy (2008)

Exactly what you'd expect of a semi-cheesy 00s horror movie. Teenagers get into a bad situation and people die. None of the characters are particularly likeable, fairly loose plot. Nothing remarkable. I'd call it a "have on in the background" watch. (2/5)

15.) Christine (1983)

Can't believe it's taken me this long to watch this! Love John Carpenter and it's a fun Stephen King story. So very 80s in it's bullies and charm, but very enjoyable. Not overdone or convoluted. I loved it. (5/5)

I've given up coffee and going to build an Azorius infinite combo deck. It sounds so fun.

14.) Witchboard (1986)

When oujia goes wrong! Fairly predictable but it has that 80s charm I'm weak for. Not too much to say, it was cute-ish and maybe not meant to be funny at parts, but I enjoyed my watch. (3/5) Apparently there's a remake? I'll have to see that one too.

13.) Hagazussa (2019)

Incredibly disturbing and atmospheric movie about what it's like to be shunned as a heathen in 15th century Austria. Scant dialogue and beautifully shows rather than tells. Multiple interpretations. Slow & dark. Heavy TW. LOVED it!! (5/5)

So this definitely felt like a new scene from Final Destination ready and waiting. Clearly the cybertruck's hauling capacity knows no limits
October 12, 2025 at 10:57 PM
12.) The Dark and the Wicked (2020)

Very atmospheric, low-moving and unsettling. Not super SCARY but definitely off-putting. Metaphors for grief and loss? Sick and dying father hit me kind of hard. Really strong start but lost itself a bit. Overall enjoyed. (3.5/5)
October 12, 2025 at 2:15 AM
11.) The Jester (2023)

I really liked the Jester himself. Another one where the actor must have been having a lot of fun! The plot was okay. The meaning behind him is a little heavy-handed. Overall just okay. (2.5/5)
October 11, 2025 at 3:09 AM
10.) The Slumber Party Massacre (1982)

Naked girls get murdered. That's pretty much the whole plot. While I do enjoy slashers, I usually like a little *more* for me to either enjoy the characters, the setting, or the killer. This was pretty much just...naked girls get murdered lol. (2/5)

9.) Basket Case (1982)

The kind of bad but fun 80s horror movie you might enjoy. Some parts comedy, cheesy acting, ridiculous plot, but still entertaining. (3/5)
October 8, 2025 at 3:32 AM
8.) When A Stranger Calls (1979)

Always enjoy when the fear of modern technology plays a role in horror, with how quickly it progresses. Decent acting but hard for me to understand without subs half the time. Kind of i two parts that didn't need to be. (3.5/5)
October 8, 2025 at 1:46 AM
7.) Orang Ikan (2024) or "Monster Island" on Shudder

Really fun setting change on a more classic "creepy monster stalks people and kills them" basis. Loved the characters and their development. Also love seeing someone in a monster suit again. (4.5/5)
October 7, 2025 at 1:53 AM
6.) Insidious: The Red Door (2023)

I enjoyed the Insidious series, but this didn't really add anything to it. Some fun shots and Chris was a true gift to the film, but overall just okay. (2.5/5)
October 6, 2025 at 1:57 AM
5.) Day of the Dead (1985) Hadn't actually seen this one yet! I do love the first two, but this one is weaker. Not bad, very 80s with the effects and gore which I like, haha. Decent plot, but longer than it needs to be. (3.5/5)
