I've read commentary about the plan just being Russia's ideas translated. Badly translated enough that it uses Russian phrases and word choices.

I don't open my Apple gear anymore. I let @ifixit.com do that digging for me. (I have replaced an iPod battery at a pub before, and had the battery replaced before the server came back w/my drink order, and no, they weren't slow.)
