I don’t think conservative media is stupid. They are quite smart and probably don’t believe everything they peddle.
They know there’s good money in keeping their crowd entertained. Post bait, skip the fact-checking, and cash in without wasting hours on research, writing and editing.

I miss my dog. Has anyone been through serious heartbreak related to their pets? What have you done to cope? I feel like my life will always be missing my little girl.

You still have to be a human to understand pareidolia, gestalt principles, anamorphosis, etc. You can train AI with many such images but it’ll still be a cheap representation of the human experience.

For anyone wondering about inflation in old school Casio watches - this one watch I had bought in 2012 is worth about 33% more.
This means if you had invested $100 in Casio watches in 2012 you would still be poor today.

Tech companies, scammers, insurance agencies, Walmart, Russia already have all your Bluesky data. I think this was understood when you post in public. Regulation won’t help, it’ll only make data concentrate in unethical companies outside the USA or in sectors with lobbyists.
For example, this might look like a setting that allows Bluesky users to specify whether they consent to outside developers using their content in AI training datasets
Bluesky won’t be able to enforce this consent outside of our systems. It will be up to outside developers to respect these settings

The Bluesky CEO’s name means ‘Blue Sky’ in Chinese. At first, I tried translating Jay Graber, but their Mandarin name is Lantian—literally ‘blue sky.’
I guess this is a case of nominative determinism.
Good morning, by the way.
