This is the whole reason I didn't buy MH Wilds. I'm starting to think they were right before to only give the US the "ultimate" versions of the 3DS games. I didn't play Iceborne or Sunbreak because I already "beat" those games and am actively avoiding Wilds to not make the same mistake.

With each room only having 0-2 gimmicks a piece, the novelty wears out fast, so you start only caring for NEW rooms, and the game's rarity system doesn't give them to you. It's genuinely so shocking that there's so many mechanics to trivialize every aspect except room selection, the thing that sucks

Thinking more on it, I think the disconnect with Blue Prince is the designers thought people would really like the drafting, and that the act of drafting would be the same appeal as combat in other roguelikes. But the individual rooms simply aren't interesting enough to be that.

"What if we made a really basic adventure game but you have to roll a Yahtzee to be able to play. Also every time you don't roll a Yahtzee you lose 45 minutes of your life"
Stop comparing this to Myst.

The ultimate conspiracy theory is that it *is* true but only for the people I don't like. Everyone else was either put on the list to slander them or was secretly infiltrating it to shut it down.
