The UK and the international community must take all steps in their power to ensure accountability for torture, including when committed by an ally. The endurance of the global torture ban depends on this. There can be no double standards. All survivors deserve justice.

Torture tries to destroy lives. The impacts are devastating and long-lasting. This must stop. Torture is never, ever permitted. Not in war, not in retaliation, not ever.
