World traveller 🌎 and proud Canadian who cares about this beautiful vast country of ours 🇨🇦
A lover of nature, food, and photography - not necessarily in that order 😉

I'm a BC'er and not very impressed that we were left out of the conversation. Thankfully First Nations have our backs. With that said, I believe that PM Carney knows this pipeline will never happen and what he really wanted was the Pathways project but the optics around this are not great.

There won’t be any private sector money. This pipeline will never happen and PM Carney knows it.

Really? The conservatives will stab you everywhere and every which way. #neverpoilievre

I don’t believe any oil company will fork out capital for this pipeline as demand is questionable and First Nations already said nope not happening. It’s quite possible our PM did this MOU to get the carbon capture project etc and not necessarily a pipeline that he must know won’t likely happen?

First Nations has already said nope not happening. Oil companies will not fork out capital for this either. I see it being dead in the water.

Yes exactly!
November 27, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Exactly! I feel people aren’t reading the full MOU.
Add to the fact that this pipeline must be privately funded. There is no private big player that will want to stick their neck out for this. The capital required is too great and demand for our product is questionable.

I can’t imagine any private big player will want to stick their neck out for this pipeline. The capital it would require is too great and the demand for our product is questionable.

And it also says - These projects will only be built in consultation and partnership with Indigenous rights-holders and British Columbia. They will create unprecedented opportunities for Indigenous co-ownership, partnership, and economic benefits.

The MOU states that it has to be financed and constructed by the private sector, with Indigenous Peoples’ ownership and benefits - good 👍 There is no proposal from any company to build this pipeline and it would be very surprising if any company in the private sector sticks their neck out to do it.

Sad but true!

He's so irrelevant and so irritating! The fact that this is all he knows how to do speaks volumes. So glad he's not leading our country. #neverpoilievre
