I had my first outing last week on the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee.
On digital ID, I asked if the minister (Ian Murray) was aware of data breaches in other countries.
He said, 'government data is pretty secure'.
Convinced? Me neither!

I support the White Ribbon campaign to end violence against women and girls!

As a society, we must address the attitudes and behaviours that contribute to the fear of violence women experience in their day to day lives

I’ve written an urgent plea to chancellor not to touch salary sacrifice, and instead fix the damaging cliff edges for child benefit and funded child care hours

Last week it was great to attend an All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) meeting on babies. Lots of great insights shared from clinicians and civil society organisations attending, including the importance of embedding better knowledge of childhood development in society

It was great to celebrate International Men’s Day with a Dad Joke. But 2 weeks paternity leave is the REAL joke

On International Men’s Day, we’re highlighting positive male role models and raising awareness of men’s wellbeing. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys,” is a chance to recognise the value they bring to our communities.

Great to see Vicky the cow again - now all grown up and in Westminster! David Passmore, local farmer, is doing a fantastic job flying the flag for the farming community and I’m delighted to support him.

I’m pleased to have joined the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee.
Looking forward to getting started and contributing to its important work.

I brought local farmers together in Watlington with the CLA & NFU to discuss the future of British farming — from fair funding to environmental schemes. I’ll keep standing up for Oxfordshire’s farmers in Parliament

At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.

💛 10,000 Cases Handled – Thank You for Your Trust

Since being elected, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 10,000 cases for constituents across Henley and Thame.

A moving service in Henley-on-Thames today, as we remember those who served, fought and died in previous and current conflicts.

We must never forget their sacrifice.

This is why OFWAT needs to be scrapped. They don’t even understand that the ONLY real source of income for water companies is bill payers

Oxfordshire has amongst the worst IVF provision in the country (and the U.K. already has poor provision compared to European peers). I’ve tabled this motion to end the IVF postcode lottery

At PMQs today I raised the inclusion of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in the rapid review of maternity and neonatal services.
Reports from The New Statesman and Channel 4 show serious failings — the Govt must ensure Baroness Amos’s review leads to real change, not a whitewash.

Yesterday I joined the Sonning Common Cycleway Campaign Group for a ride to see the need for a safe cycleway linking Sonning Common and Emmer Green.

It was great to hear from local residents about how better cycling infrastructure can make journeys safer, greener, and more accessible for everyone.

I received a response to my letter on Newborn Screening for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Sadly the Minister declined to take responsibility for delays and spoke only about process. Meanwhile children are becoming needlessly disabled.

Last week marked 75 years since the current House of Commons Chamber opened, rebuilt after it was destroyed in the Second World War.

Since then, it’s been at the heart of our democracy — a place for debate, challenge and representation.

Pleased to attend the Breast Cancer drop-in this week to show my support for those affected by breast cancer and to learn more about the ongoing work to improve early diagnosis, treatment and support.

This week I met with the Environment Agency, Minister Emma Hardy’s team, MPs Charlie Maynard, Ed Davey, Sarah Olney and Clive Jones, plus British Marine and local businesses to discuss Thames issues—assisted passage, lock maintenance, abandoned boats, and contractors. Greater investment is vital.

Had a great meeting last week with James Maw and Sarah Venn from Bunge — a major global business with their UK HQ here in Thame.

We discussed important issues around food security, climate change, and how current policies are impacting farmers, supply chains, and consumers

Parish councils from across the Oxford Green Belt met in Wheatley last night to debate local government reorganisation, including Oxford City’s proposed land grab. I’m opposed to this. Our villages have distinct identities, but we should strengthen city–rural ties in a single Oxfordshire authority.

Last week I visited the public exhibition in Chalgrove to hear directly from Homes England about their latest proposals for a new town on Chalgrove Airfield.
I’ve said before that I’m worried about this development —I’ll be looking at this very closely as the plans move towards the planning process.
October 28, 2025 at 10:18 AM
On Tuesday I met with Defence Minister Luke Pollard MP to urge a halt to plans for a new town at Chalgrove Airfield.

I stressed the importance of Martin Baker Aircraft Co and the risk the development poses.
