DATA!!! OWO

Anyway, just thought that was interesting!

We may have free healthcare for those who wait, but our food, housing, *is* more expensive

Our billionaires find veins to bleed, but are leeches nonetheless

I suspect Americans are spending their money in different ways.

Canadians are seeing other sectors of our economy suffer since most of our money goes to food, housing, utilities(unless you live in BC, very cheap utilities)

lack of Canadian outrage and grocery competition, like telecom, is the crux
November 12, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Canadians might switch to a cheaper grocery store before they switch up what they buy.

Americans seem to switch products, even buying non-egg eggs because their prices fluctuate less.

Average wages in Canada are higher, but skewed less than American wages which have higher skew (duh)
November 12, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Canadian egg prices have long since out paced American ones.

Or chicken prices, over 9CAD/lb skinless breast, around 3.50CAD/lb for bone-in skin-on thighs.

I suspect price disparity between product types is exaggerated up here(no data, just hunch)

Yes, I am taking exchange rate into account.

From my collection of anecdotes. Americans appear less elastic in attitude when it comes to grocery price increase.

They are still spending less on average for groceries than Canadians (data, but citation needed)

But it takes a smaller price increase for them to stop buying eggs for example...

Good good!

Well... that's what it's for! 😵‍💫💦

Yes that is the silly implication I am making ;3

It's a joke~ ^^

Oh gosh :C

They are hand painted to my knowledge, so that might take a while..., and I think I got mine like, FIRST. Which was a few days ago

Maybe it's the shipping to the USA? (I assume)

Feturax is pretty responsive on social media, within the day, try giving them a DM!
