Hot fluid is apparently a complete no-go initially bc it can affect the healing 😞 and it’s a wisdom tooth so I guess a straw wouldn’t really help avoid it 😭

Mum broke that news to me personally as a matter of importance, she understood the seriousness 😂 “I’ll go over all the recovery stuff with you after you’ve seen the dentist but you should know now that you won’t be able to drink hot drinks INCLUDING TEA”

Actually no the most upsetting part is the price of private dentistry but a close second is the fact I won’t get to drink tea for two whole days

Saddest part is knowing I won’t be able to drink tea for 2 whole days after. Genuinely distressing

Well. Largely what came out was the absolute rock solid filling mum did on the sofa mid-pandemic. But it turns out that was p much the majority of what was left of the “tooth”. Emergency removal it is ✌️🙂✌️

Unpacking it in therapy has been useful, but idk how you’d locate an autism specialising therapist, maybe speak to GP for therapy referral? (mine was randomly assigned by uni support, she’s the one that clocked my tism in 5mins flat)

I mean I’m not having a great time with it but at least there’s a benefit. Even wants to come with me if it needs removing in a non-emergency way, the freak

I know he means that I didn’t spend 3 years on a purely ecology based undergrad course like some post-grads in the department but like. Palaeontology isn’t exactly unrelated to ecology. My dissertation was reconstructing a palaeo environment by studying the ecology.
