I honestly think they're not edge cases since the first Uncharted. Naughty Dog was bragging about crunch until recently. On Blood Sweat and Pixels, when taking about Uncharted 4 said that Naughty Dog was famous for 2 things: making "the best of the best games" and embracing crunch.
It's their M.O.

I'm not against ten-ish hour games. Lost Legacy is my favorite Uncharted game. I love A Short Hike. It's just some worlds I just love being immersed there
