All the albums mentioned below are significant moments in R&B/music overall, but I still remember how I felt when I heard “Welcome to the Party” into “Wild Bitches” by PND in a world where Weeknd dropped Kiss Land a few months before and it brings a tear to my eye. What a time, man.

In the last 10-15 years I don’t think I’ve enjoyed an album the way I’ve enjoyed Renaissance.

Closest are probably Freudian, CTRL, Ego Death, For All We Know, Urban Flora, Jaguar II, PND1&2 & Ugh, Those Feels Again… all skipless but Renaissance? That’s just insanely different.
