My trusty Mr Fixit has appeared (by bus) to breathe life into the machine I swore I would never own.

It’s not a bike.

But it is two-stroke and noisy.

An autumnal skircle.
One fall. No submissions.

(I have wrestling in my genes. Mrs F may have mentioned this once or twice - a week.)

A sunny Mildenhall Parkrun, where last week’s biscuit-frenzy (I just couldn’t resist leftovers from the village coffee morning) took its toll.

37.04.

But those satanic circles of fat and sugar have all gone now.

Although there’s birthday cake for GD7 at 3pm. One doesn’t like to offend.

Have found the knurled nut that adjusts the tickover of the 750/4’s bank of carburettors.

It’s underneath, uncomfortably close to the hot metal, if one has been issued sausage fingers.

Another link with the monarchy.

Went to see The Boss, with the boss, who, if shut eyes are any indication, was not fully immersed in the film.

Out and about on the Kawasaki W800. All leathered up against the cold.

Coffee stop at Krazy Horse.

Contemplating a bacon sandwich.

KH Cinema night tomorrow. What a good idea. Biker films!

I’ve been watching the Netflix series The Diplomat.

Does anyone else think that the dialogue was written by adolescents?

Home insurance renewal.

The annual premium has gone up, of course.

But only by 5p.

I think I can just about manage that.

Your city idyll is about to be swamped by British tourists!

I have certainly said this before, but I do love this Kawasaki W800.

Good-looking.
Reliable.
Comfortable.
Enough power.
Great sound.

Another keeper.

Public duty: lock the church

After private pleasure: a nippy ride out on the W800.

Low sun too.

Banana-fuelled return to Mildenhall Parkrun.

Bright and breezy. Me too.

Always a great start to the weekend.

A walk in the woods - but with a difference.

French conversation session with a student I have only ever seen on-line.

Très bien!

Can’t recall where I was ten years ago.

It’s looks to have been a budget hotel.

But shall this crazed old man be tamely suffered to drag a whole ship’s company down to doom with him?

Nippy enough to light the fire.

From the ridiculous to the sublime:

a poor Bon Jovi tribute last night morphed into a virtuoso piano recital in the library at Audley End House.

Awaiting Mr Bom “Giovi” in person.

A breezy Mildenhall Parkrun in 37.00.
Needed a jacket for the first lap. Amazed that I remembered to collect it - with anno domini taking its toll on the memory.
Only 7 minutes to shave off.
Bumped into one former pupil and a few pals.
It’s always a social event.

Wish I’d kept it now. Handsome machine!

Eleven years ago, I got back on two wheels with this former Special Escort Group BMW1150RS.

Took it to Normandy with The Boy, to celebrate my 60th.

With a white helmet and a high-viz it proved to have traffic-calming qualities!

Phew.
The coffee-down-drain lady has been pardoned.
Justice.
Now just send those enforcers to the water companies.
