🧵 This was the first sequence of shots I animated on #Soul, back when I was at Pixar. I wanted to chat a bit about specificity. Originally these shots were going to have Joe and Curley shake hands. I argued against as it’s not how we typically greet someone we’re familiar with. #Pixar

When you’re 15, and really wanna learn backflips on your bike, but have limited resources and no indoor skatepark w/ foam pits to learn safely… you find a way.
I studied what people were doing with their body recording Xgames etc on vhs, then let it rip with a life jacket strapped to my handlebars.

Love my bike! I got a thing for ‘em. My bmx background turned into my love of a good bike. They gotta be tuned too! I used to build up my own bikes, buying part by part.
