Inner city Brunswick in Melbourne still has many old

More pavement mementos.
This is outside the Yarra Hotel in Abbotsford. Opposite the Victoria Park footy oval, Collingwood’s home ground. This is probably from the 70’s when sharps and skinheads roamed Melbourne streets looking for fun and trouble.

Have had this book for ages & can always dip into it over and over, full of interviews with many Stars of the silent screen & early talkies. Full of anecdotes and trivia & directly transcribed from audio recordings which makes the personalities behind the ‘voices’ shine through #BookSky

Borrowed this from my library & loving it; Women in Rock, Australian counter culture in the 70s, punk rock scene, feminism, enjoyably gossipy and written with love, warmth & honesty. #booksky

Whenever I see a copy of this book I always buy it. Latest copy was $2. I always end up giving them away for the most memorable reasons. One was to an elderly woman who had gone blind, given all her books away, and this was the book she regretted no longer owning.

Took a trip to Euroa recently and visited this once grand hotel. The bar was open, but the rest of the place is not used for much, except the occasional music event.

On a recent day trip to Walhalla we found all these bits of old china and a shoe sole. So many interesting designs.
