It’s a real pattern with Labour. They’re quite good at taking away fundamental safeguards thinking “oh we won’t abuse it”, forgetting that another govt inevitably will! Or sometimes they do it themselves.

They’ve acted straight away. It’s not only 100% better than russia would or could ever do, it’s better than most western countries/ governments do when confronted with scandal or accusations of corruption.

Because it’s always a bluff. Because he always wants more, and doesn’t care how many people die to get it. Because it’s impossible to make peace when your whole regime is based on war.

Unfortunately it was a piece of shit plan from the outset.
Ukraine has effectively called russia and the US’s bluff by agreeing in essence to the plan, knowing that it was expressed in maximalist terms deliberately to force them to refuse it.

It was scandalous that this was ever brought in. And shocking that a Labour government didn’t remove it immediately they gained power.

Today I spoke to someone who told me directly that she had been thinking of voting Reform until all this came out, and now she won’t be.
