🚫 "Go fund me"
Dump's speech patterns suggest that
he was trained to answer that specific question,
but has problems remembering his lines.

Calgary 1988 was memorable for these 3:

- Jamaica bobsleigh team
- Eddie the Eagle (ski jumping)
- Elizabeth Manley burning the ice,
to win silver in figure skating

Congrats to Jamaicans winning gold 40 years later!

Moss & roots can keep burning in Winter & flare up in the Spring. It's the same in Québec & most other provinces with mid-boreal vegetation. 🔥

Hitler also signed a pact that he wouldn't attack Soviet Union.
Everybody knows how that turned out.

NG shouldn't be law enforcement: that's not their training.
Probably why some in DC were spreading mulch.
November 27, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Québec too: storm is moving East.
Hoping it's not the start of a new Ice Age. 😉
November 27, 2025 at 3:08 PM
It sure doesn't look good, from where I'm watching.
November 27, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Forecast is 30-50 cm for my area, 30 cm for sure.
Variation depends on how far South the worst of the storm will hit.

1st NG deployment was ruled illegal by a federal judge, so Dump's answer is to send more armed troops to D.C.? If there's anybody sane left in US administration or Pentagon, please make this nonsense stop before more lives are lost. Canadians are watching in dismay.

Ontario & Québec are going to be buried.
Forecast is 30+ cm of snow, in some areas.
That's 1+ foot, for non metric folks.
November 26, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Okay, that's why it's "minimum 55$".

Add that Home Depot is under boycott across Canada.
November 26, 2025 at 9:02 PM
They're both expensive: "dépanneurs", not grocery stores.

You see the blank spot in the middle, that's me (Trois-Rivières).

There are diverse micro breweries in Québec, producing great beer. It's the only kind I buy, besides imported European ones (Belgium & Germany). There's one 1 km from my place, selling their beer in bottles or jugs. US beers qualify as "pipi de chat".

Never seen Lula farms products in my area.
I don't live in Montréal, so there's less choice in stores.
November 26, 2025 at 6:23 PM
The 5$+/Spraque can is the price at the health food store.
SuperC only carries Aylmer's tomato soup. Mushroom is generic, Campbell's or Tim Horton's (almost 4X the price of generic).
November 26, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Nice to know, TY.
November 26, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Geez, yesterday at the grocery store there was an over abundance of Campbell's soups, but nobody has been buying them for months. Grocers need to wake up & understand the clients' shift: Campbell's isn't a big seller anymore. Maybe they thought it wouldn't last, but boycott's still going strong.
November 26, 2025 at 6:05 PM
There's 1 store with Sprague soups beside Walmart, but it's an overpriced "health food" one. Therefore, I just make my own soups or buy Aylmer. I have no idea why Sprague ones aren't all over the place.
November 26, 2025 at 5:36 PM
There are 2 Giant Tiger (Tigre Géant) stores in my town,
but neither carry Sprague soups.
November 26, 2025 at 5:25 PM
There are no London Drugs in QC & I never set foot in a Walmart, considering their policies regarding employees (no union).
November 26, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Didn't find Sprague soup yet around here.
November 26, 2025 at 2:19 PM
Campbell's soups were on sale this week at my grocery store.
Shelves fully stocked, but nobody buying. #BoycottUSA

Dont't be fooled, Habitant "French Canadian Pea Soup" is now US made.
