Did you know? Tim Berners Lee explicitly designed the World Wide Web to be fractal! How cool is that?! Alas, with the rise of big tech monopolies, it has evolved in ways he didn’t intend or envision. But the original idea was so beautiful! How can we get that spirit back?

Playing with balloon design ideas, working on future flying fractals, exploring something perhaps a bit simpler and more accessible than many of my other designs. Feedback?

Can’t stop thinking about this. Flying the balloon before sunrise while doing an LED skyglow is absolutely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Can’t wait to get up there again!

Seems like the world could use more peace, joy and beauty, so I decided to fly a tiedyed peace banner at #BalloonFiesta. Did it help? I don’t know, but I hope it inspired some people. The world needs artists, this much I know.

Been having a terrific time at #BalloonFiesta in #Abq. So glad my crew was there to catch me during this high speed landing! That was an intense situation that worked out safely thanks to all involved. Amazing!

People people, a minimum of fact checking please - this is a gas balloon, not a hot air balloon. No fire, no heat. No pilot. And no color. Boring! Here is what hot air balloons can look like :)

It’s been a long time since I’ve made any tiedyes, and I’ve been having fun getting back into the art form! Here are a couple of fractal inspired tapestries that I’ve made and given to friends as backdrops for their bands. Cool!

Had an absolutely wonderful weekend flying at Red Rocks outside Gallup. These sandstone canyons are incredibly beautiful, and you can get to some pretty amazing places by balloon that you just couldn’t reach any other way. Flying fractals in the fractals! #newmexicotrue

This timeline is making me cry, everything is so unbearably awful I can’t stand it. I need to put some beauty out here. Enjoy a glimpse of Lucy in the Sky, my third tiedyed balloon, flying in Poland last week.

Mountain flying is adventurous fun, but also a bit stressful. You may have unusual considerations, like not causing an avalanche, or being prepared to hike out or retrieve by snowmobile. When we flew in Chateau d’Oex Switzerland, we bought helicopter insurance! #MountainMonday
