Thanks for this reminder about a country many Canadians believe to be a beacon of democracy.

As one of the former Principals of St. Oscar Romero Catholic Secondary School in Toronto we pray to our patron in gratitude for the lives of our students and their families, many of whom share a legacy with the refugees of today. May we move forward together in solidarity and love.

One would have to investigate the qualifications required for these jobs and then look at the proportion of applicants by race who meet the qualifications. Also if we are talking race then where are the statistics for brown and asian applicants.
