update text from the Guardian online news, title "Trump rescinds order pausing federal grants and loans". text, The White House Office of Management and Budget has rescinded Donald Trump's order that put a pause on federal grants and loans, which sparked confusion and concerna cross the country. According to Reuters, a White House official confirmed the order had been rescinded. The news comes one day after the federal judge temporarily halted the funding pause.

memory: taking a cassette of Peter Paul & Mary with Leaving On a Jet Plane on it from my mom's nightstand and playing it (over & over) on one of these while singing along

an old Panasonic brand cassette recorder. they were a rectangular shape, made of black plastic with silver metal features, built in speaker with an orange button for the recording feature. other buttons or operations one could use were play, review or fast forward, stop and eject/pause. one cassette could be played or record at a time. they were popular in the 70s and 80s

painting study of waves on paper by Joseph Mallord William Turner. i believe from the Tate online archive. it looks like a light wash of paint with cobalt blue, grey and taupe. it's faint and simple but a bit melancholy looking. Turner is known for painting turbulent subject matter using bodies of water for visuals

idc about this person but know enough about her to guess this was false. i'm also guessing the "wrong side of metoo" is b.s.. doesn't take away from this child's book post looking awful (idk what's in the book) but just bc someone sucks one way ...
